The main performance indicators of the speaker are: sensitivity, frequency response, rated power, rated impedance, directivity and distortion and other parameters.

1, rated power

The power of the loudspeaker has the nominal power and the maximum power of the points. Nominal power is rated power, no distortion power. It refers to the loudspeaker in the rated distortion range of the maximum allowable input power, in the speaker's trademark, technical specifications marked on the power that is the power value. The maximum power is the peak power that the speaker can withstand at a moment. In order to ensure the reliability of the work of the speaker, requiring the maximum power of the speaker for the nominal power of 2 to 3 times.

2, rated impedance

The impedance of the loudspeaker is generally related to frequency. The rated impedance is the impedance measured from the speaker input when the audio is 400 Hz. It is generally the voice coil DC resistance of 1.2 to 1.5 times. General moving coil loudspeakers have a common impedance of 4Ω, 8Ω, 16Ω, 32Ω and so on.

3, frequency response

When a loudspeaker is added with the same voltage and different frequency of the audio signal, the resulting sound pressure will change. In general, the sound pressure generated when the audio is large, and low sound and high sound when the sound pressure is small. When the sound pressure drops to a certain value of the middle of the high, bass frequency range, called the speaker's frequency response characteristics.

The ideal speaker frequency characteristics should be 20 ~ 20KHz, so that all the audio can be evenly reproduced, but this is impossible. Each speaker can only reproduce a certain part of the audio.

4, distortion

The speaker can not put the original voice realistic reproduction of the phenomenon called distortion. There are two types of distortion: frequency distortion and non-linear distortion. Frequency distortion is due to some of the frequency of the signal playback is strong, while the other frequency of the signal playback is weak, the distortion destroyed the original high and low sound ratio, changed the original sound. And the linear distortion is caused by the fact that the vibration of the speaker vibration system and the fluctuation of the signal are not exactly the same, and a new frequency component is added to the output sound wave.

5, pointing to the characteristics

Used to characterize the speaker in the space of the radiation direction of the sound pressure distribution characteristics, the higher the frequency of the more narrow, the greater the greater the directivity of the cone.
